Comics and books

An update on Rowling vs. Vander Ark.

The comic, Doctor Who: The Forgotten, will be out August 2008: "Stranded in a strange Museum that’s dedicated to him; and with no TARDIS in sight, The Doctor and Martha must make sense of their surroundings, hindered by one small fact - The Doctor has lost his memories of every one of his previous incarnations! With items relevant to each Doctor in their possession, The Doctor must try to use them to regain his memories before it’s too late, starting with his earliest incarnation’s memories, involving Susan, Barbara and Ian. This all-new series written by Tony Lee (Starship Troopers) features artist Pia Guerra in her first monthly comic since Y The Last Man!" Teaser images.

Digital Manga Publishing (DMP) have a special "collector's set" of Speed Racer: Mach Go Go Go: "DMP celebrates Speed Racer’s 40th anniversary with a 2 volume hardcover collector’s set. Speed Racer: Mach Go Go Go Box Set is the complete, unabridged version and contains episodes available in the United States for the first time. Join Speed Racer, Racer X, Trixie, Spritle and Chim Chim in this face-paced thriller of action and intrigue."

Crown Publishers have paid Tim Kring $3 million for an alternate history trilogy. A thriller about the abuses and moral responsibilities of power, the Heroes creator will co-write The Flag of Orpheus with Dale Peck. Shift, the first part, will release fall 2009 from Random House. As part of online marketing, each installment will be launched with an AR game.
