Ghibli concert

Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi will conduct Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea Movie Opening Commemoration.

August 4, at 6:30 pm, and 5, at 3 pm, Tokyo's Nippon Budokan complex will host Hisaishi, a 200 piece orchestra, and a 400 member choir. The concert will commemorate the 25 years he and director Hayao Miyazaki have worked together using music from Miyazaki's films. After first working together on Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Hisaishi has composed the scores on all of Miyazaki's full length features, and music from all of them will be featured.
